From Kyiv to Paris: The Story of Dance of Flowers

There are moments that become turning points in the story of a brand. For KALITA, one of those moments came at Romanian Jewelry Week 2025⁠.

In October 2025, we presented in Bucharest one of the most personal works from our Dance of Flowers⁠ collection — a sculptural flower ring where jewelry meets literature.

At the heart of this part of the collection are lines from William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, engraved directly onto the petals of the flower. They refer to the story of the magical flower touched by Cupid’s arrow.

In this way, the jewel becomes more than an object to be worn. It becomes a bearer of a story — bringing together nature, gemstones, sculptural form and poetry.

It was this work that received the Precious Room by Muriel Piaser Award at Romanian Jewelry Week 2025.

What became particularly meaningful to us was not only the recognition itself, but also why Muriel Piaser chose KALITA.

In a feature published by Modernism following Romanian Jewelry Week 2025⁠, Muriel Piaser spoke about selecting KALITA, highlighting the emotional impact created by the combination of flowers and precious stones, as well as the compelling story behind the brand.

For us, this recognition resonates deeply with the idea behind Dance of Flowers: creating jewelry in which form and gemstone carry not only an aesthetic presence, but also an emotional story.

The award also received independent professional recognition within the international contemporary jewelry community. Klimt02 included KALITA in its ⁠Award Givings 2025: Art Jewellery Awards — Awarded Artists and Artworks⁠, listing Kalita Jewelry and The Precious Room by Muriel Piaser Award at ROJW 2025.

From Bucharest to Paris

The award, however, was not the final point of this story. It became the beginning of its next chapter.

Muriel Piaser’s selection opened the opportunity for KALITA to present Dance of Flowers at Precious Room by Muriel Piaser in Paris.

On January 27–28, 2026, KALITA joined French and international jewelry brands at Palais Vivienne in Paris for the 14th edition of Precious Room.

The moment became even more significant when the story was highlighted by international professional jewelry publication VO+ Jewels & Luxury Magazine.

In its feature Precious Room 2026: High and Fine Jewelry at Palais Vivienne⁠, VO+ specifically named KALITA among the international participants presented in Paris through the collaboration with Romanian Jewelry Week. The publication also placed Precious Room within the calendar of Paris Haute Couture Week and Haute Joaillerie Week.

For an independent Ukrainian jewelry brand founded in Kyiv, the presentation in Paris became an important milestone in KALITA’s international story. Yet the journey of Dance of Flowers did not end there.

Only a few weeks later, the collection travelled to Munich, where the story continued within one of Europe’s key professional jewelry platforms.

From Paris to Munich

In February 2026, Dance of Flowers was presented at INHORGENTA Munich as part of the Assamblage Gallery collective exhibition in DESIGNAREA.

There, the collection received another form of professional recognition.

A Dance of Flowers ring was selected for TRENDS and appeared on the “ENJOY!” page of the official INHORGENTA DAILY NEWS, dated February 22, 2026.

INHORGENTA DAILY NEWS is produced during the trade fair, with its editorial team covering news, events, conversations and current topics directly from INHORGENTA. Dance of Flowers — A Story That Continues

For KALITA, Dance of Flowers is a story about how jewelry can exist at the intersection of nature, art and literature.

Sculptural flowers, natural gemstones, textured metal and lines from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream become parts of a single work.

At the center of this journey has always remained the jewel itself — a flower, a natural gemstone and a few lines of Shakespeare transformed into jewelry.

And it is especially meaningful to see how a story that began in our Kyiv workshop continues its journey through Bucharest, Paris and Munich, finding recognition and resonance within the international jewelry community.
